In a collaborative project with the Museum of Islay Life, Islay Heritage is providing information boards at selected locations around the island to tell people about the remarkable historic and archaeological sites on the island.
These will be discretely placed on existing footpaths and designed to be unobtrusive, so as not to detract from natural landscape. The first three are in production, about Dun Bhoraraic, Ballygrant Island and the East Tower on Cnoc na Coriche at Islay House. Islay Heritage is delighted to have been awarded a donation from Elixir Distillers to support this project.
